Awaken to the "Design Visible"
"Revolutions happen not upon every little mismanagement in public affairs [...] many wrong and inconvenient laws will be born by the people without mutiny [...] But if a long train of abuses, prevarications and artifices, all tending the same way, make the design visible to the people. it is not to be wondered, that they should then rouse themselves"
To rouse is to wake up, to rise up. When will American Christians rouse themselves?
Less than a fortnight away is the thirty year anniversary of the Supreme Court's infamous decision in Roe v. Wade. Thirty years of legalized killing of innocent human beings. Thirty years of pain and bloodshed for unborn children. Nothing has changed. The Judges and Congressmen who are responsible have not been brought to justice for their crimes against God and nature. Except for a few, the monsters that wield the curettes have not been punished or even incapacitated.
Our country was founded on the very principle that God endowed human beings with an inalienable right to life. For this principle, among others, our Founding Fathers pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. They declared, fought and won a Revolutionary War against tyranny.
Were legalized abortion our rulers' only transgression, the enormity of this single offense in the eyes of God should command His dutiful followers to depose and destroy those who pretend to govern us. Roe v. Wade , in and of itself, is a license for lawful Revolution.
What have we done? There have been non-violent protests and letters written to Congressmen. There have been other attempts to remedy by lawful, peaceful and democratic means an evil done by those who deny that any true law exists, who exult in the use of force at home and abroad and who secretly despise the notion that a people can govern themselves.
For thirty years, American Christians have whiled away their time in petitioning a government that no longer recognizes law, truth or the sovereignty of its people. Over that same period of time, our government, like some Frankenstein, has turned on us and sought to destroy the religious and political principles that gave it Life.
We must awaken to the emergence of that government's "design visible". Its stripping away of our inalienable rights to life and liberty. Its incremental infringement of our right to keep and bear arms, the effective means of resistance to tyranny. Its gradual implementation of a surveillance State. Its successful use of the courts and immigration to deChristianize the people. Its ongoing attack on fatherhood and the family, jamming the transmission of religion and culture from one generation to the next. Its co-optation of academia and media in order to control its citizens' thinking. Its debasing of our currency. Its seizure of 52% of our nation's lands, and its stifling restrictions on our use of the remainder. We can debate how far along our government has come in establishing tyranny, but that tyranny is its goal is beyond cavil.
Time is an ally of the would-be tyrant and the enemy of those who would resist him. With every passing year, our practical ability to resist is diminished. Even worse, our will to resist is diminished. If American Christians do not soon rouse themselves to overturn the rule of those who created this "design visible", we will soon lose the ability and will to do so.
And then, as the tyrant's boot is upon our throats, there will be nothing left to do.
May courage and resolve fill our hearts and minds, and may God be with us.
